4 Ways You Can Grow Your YouTube Channel in 2024

So you're a YouTuber, and you want to get big but... you're getting no views. We can fix that - here are some tips on how to grow YOUR YouTube channel fast and efficiently in 2024.

  1. Prioritize Quality Over Quantity

Make sure you prioritize quality more than you prioritize quantity - now, don't take that as "my video needs to be perfect" because no can make a perfect video especially when they are starting out and learning the jist of things, but I am saying to make sure you don't just focus on pumping out daily or more than daily videos and leave the quality aspect behind. While yes you may get some initial growth from it, it won't last. At all.

2. Make to-the-point intros

When people make videos, they often end up rambling on about what happened in their life or a game, etc.. This causes the new viewer to often times get bored, see that you're not getting to the point, and click off of your video. With this, you should try to keep your intros 5-10 seconds long as opposed to 30-60 seconds long. This engages the viewer for longer and keep them more interested because you started the video and did the quick intro, and now you are already getting into the contents of the video itself.

As a side note, if you were thinking "well MY favorite creator does super long intros!!!" I'll explain. The reason your favorite creator can make such long intros and ramble about things is because of one thing: they already have an audience. You don't and because you don't viewers don't have a connection or feeling towards you which makes them have no interest in watching your super long intro.

3. Make YouTube Shorts AND YouTube Long-form Content

For the third tip I highly suggest you make both YouTube shorts and long-form content. There are multiple ways you can do this:

1. Make shorts out of your regular long-form content.

2. Make highly-edited shorts that are recorded and have never been seen by your audience.

3. If you're a shorts creator, make a long-form video out of your shorts if there is enough footage, and if not you can just use that same video idea.

I’m sure there are even more I can't think of right now, but let me tell you WHY i say to do both - because it gives you a wider audience and more content for the viewer to enjoy. If a viewer wants long-form, they can watch your video. And if a viewer want shorts, they can STILL watch your video. It's perfect, not to mention how YouTube shorts have ended up being really easy to blow up in views.

4. Know your audience

When on YouTube, you need to know your audience so you can create content that's what both YOU and YOUR AUDIENCE want to watch. Now, when I say know your audience I don't mean you need to have a personal relationship with all of them - that's impossible. But what I do mean is you need to LEARN your audience. Learn what they want to watch, what they do watch, the parts of your videos they like, and more. YouTube analytics has most of this information under the "Audience" and "Content" tabs on YouTube Studio.

Even though YouTube Studio has a lot of good information - you can get some free tools and get even MORE valuable information. VidIQ and TubeBuddy are some good ones that you can download as both an app and a chrome extension. These let you get some special analytics and even channel audits that will help you learn your audience and create better content for your target audience, in turn better growing your audience.

Overall, I hope this article helped you be able to create better, more engaging content for your viewers. Good luck on growing you channel, I believe in you!
